Brief
Divine is the chocolate with a heart: 100% Fairtrade and 44% owned by cocoa farmers. In a market overwhelmed with ethical brands, Divine wanted to elevate their packaging to a premium position and highlight their unique difference.

Solution & Role
A more meaningful design with increased legibility. Ghanaian Adinkra symbols remain the brand heroes but now form a subliminal heart shape around the logo, and the new claim ‘Owned by Cocoa Farmers’ features the ‘Chief’ Adinkra, which symbolises charisma and leadership. From initial research and concepts I worked with the creative director Mary Lewis to develop my chosen design through to the final packaging range.
